Wow. Truly, wow. I finally convinced Biri to show me what her elemental transmission box looks like up close. I'm staring at it spin whie writing, and… tahnk the void for spell check I guess. In concept, I built this thing. But seeing it working for real… it's a whole nother experience.

I'll go back through and attach what diagrams I can to help clarify. (Hear that Avoma? Don't forget this time, dummy)

The gear is TECHNICALLY more of a cog, I suppose. But it connects directly to the body inside their core. Elemental energy is part of a cybri's physical makeup, THANKS AGAIN TO TRUINE THEORY, ROB! And this gearbox is able to interface with that to pull power from their bloodstream. The six hollow channels are coated in a special catalyst that helps the dissolved power quickly crystalize into place or re-absorb it back into them again as needed.

It's a complicated system that any of my engineering peers should've raked me over the coals for, but the fact is, cybrii need it in that form to use the power with any sort of effectiveness. Don't ask me why. Yes, the dissolved crystals are just very small and suspended in the cellular jelly and whatnot, and yes, they CAN use the power in that form to SOME extent. But for some reason it's infinitely more potent when purified like this.

With the gearbox, a cybri essentally can equip themselves with an ammo belt of up to three crystals. Those are the ones exposed alng the top edge of the gearbox. While a cybri uses those, they can begin prepping another set inside the box to replenish the in-use ones at a moment's notice. Hopefully they'll never need to have more ready to use than that.
